Non-compete time frame
At the time of hiring, the non-compete that was
signed stated a time period of 6 months after
separation. At the time of separation, the separation
agreement stated a time period of 24 months. Does
the time stated in the separation agreement
supersede the original time that was stated in the
hiring documentation?

If you signed a separation agreement with a longer time frame, it would supercede the earlier agreement (assuming you signed the separation agreement and accepted whatever severence or other compensation/benefits they were offering you to sign). A later written contract can modify or supercede an earlier one.
