If my mother has been placed in a nursing home and we must sell her house but my neice lives there and refuses to leave, how do we get her out?
She has lied there for 8 years without paying for anything.

Considering how long she has lived there, she is now considered a tenant of the home. If you have power of attorney or other legal authority over your mother's financial affairs, you need to file a suit to evict her from the house. Once you get her out, change the locks to prevent her from having future access.
