What do you mean by "in your name?" Do you mean that you think some one has insured your life? If a party has an insurable interest in your life - a spouse, ex spouse pursuant to divorce agreement (child support, alimony, etc.), a parent, or any pother party that has a financial interest in your life - then they can insure your life with out your permission. And I do not think that you have to be advised.
