Do you have an attorney? If you do not have an attorney you really must get one as soon as you can. I am writing this hoping that you had really extenuating circumstances to leave them home alone for even a minute. Although the extenuating circumstances does not really negate what was done they may n fact mitigate the result. You may also be able to do something else like take a parenting course along with what ever other sentence that is imposed. But you really need someone on your side here helping you through this. You are very lucky - as I am sure that you know - that nothing happened to them. Get help.
