My wife filed for divorce and I received the letter for the scheduled appearance for the default hearing. I already signed and notarized the papers that say I am aware of her filing. I am not contesting in any way. We have no children, no property, and no financial ties and all of our personal property has been split. I am just unclear if I am supposed to be at the default hearing, or if that is just for her.

As an attorney I generally hate the word "default". Here is just means that you have not answered in the matter and I am hoping that the papers that you signed - a waiver of the right to answer? - were reviewed by an attorney. Doyou have to appear? Probably not if you are condfident as to the divorce agreement you signed splitting the assets and it was reviewed by an attorney. But I might just like to be a fly on the wall making sure all goes well. Good luck.
