My husband has received a letter saying he owed 2,000 dollars to a collection agency. We tried to pay them but got a huge hassle. Now they are saying that they are going to take further action. What can they do?

They can sue you in court and get a judgment against you. Then they can try to collect that judgment by taking actions such as garnishing your wages.Try to reach an agreement with them to pay back the debt if possible to avoid further hassles.
