Can my company force me to use my car and carpool?

Often times, I am required to drive several miles for work, trainings, workshops,
etc. Company policy is that if I travel upwards 100 miles and, the start time is
at or around my normal shift start time then I may travel the night before.
Sometimes, more than one person is required to attend. Should I be forced to use
my car to drive my coworkers, or should I be forced to ride with other coworkers,
especially since this sometimes means spending the night. We don’t have a
company car that is available for our use. I don’t think I should I be required
to use my personal car to drive my coworkers, nor should I have to ride with
them.

Unfortunately, what is fair or reasonable is different than what us legal. What you describe is often unfair, but it is legal: employers may legally, as a condition or requirement of the job, require employees to use their own cars and also to carpool or otherwise transport each other.
