I’ve been separated from my wife for over 2 years now. I want to start a business now and I am afraid that if I do before we are legally divorced she will have some sort of entitlement, is this true?

Yes, she could if you start the business during the time that you are legally married and there is not a legal separation or agreement in place. It may be time to seek legal help with this all. You need a "date certian: that a court can look at to determine the end of the marriage and thus the end of what would be considered marital property. Good luck.
