Yes, you may be. Landlords are not required to rent to any and every person: as long as they do not discriminate on certain specifically protected bases (such as against a person due to his/her race), a landlord has a great deal of freedom to decide to rent to--and who to not rent to--and may base that decision on a criminal record, including DUI/DWI.
