Whether ot not you can amend your judgment of dissolution depends upon whether or not it is a final judgment or a temporary one and if a final judgment, would your former spouse allow you to amend it to place you on his health insurance plan.
The best way to answer your question would be to carefully read your judgment concerning your dissolution in that its terms and conditions control the obligations owed to you by your former spouse and vice versa in the absence of conflicitng state law.
If you have a family law lawyer that handled your dissolution, you need to confer with him or her about your question further. If you do not have a family law lawyer, you should retain one to asisst you in reviewing your judgment of dissolution.
