A wage garnishment is an effective way to enforce a judgment. If the judgment is not paid, the landlord receives nothing until the judgment is enforced by a wage garnishment or other enforcement action. A wage garnishment insures that a portion of the income is in this case paid to the landlord for the rent that is owed.
